Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are a must-try dessert!

These rich, fudgy chocolate cookies are rolled in powdered sugar before baking, creating a crinkly, crackled look and soft, brownie-like texture. A must-bake for holidays or any time you need a chocolate fix.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix cocoa, sugar, and oil. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
  3. Cover dough and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
  5. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in powdered sugar.
  6. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes. Cookies will be soft but set as they cool.
  8. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough is essential for the signature crinkle look.
  • Add espresso powder for enhanced chocolate flavor.
