Method
- In a large bowl, mix crumbled cake and frosting until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Roll mixture into small balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Insert a cake pop stick into each ball.
- Freeze for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt candy melts or chocolate according to package instructions.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted coating and decorate with sprinkles.
- Allow to set by standing cake pops upright in a foam block or cake pop stand.
Notes
- Use just enough frosting to bind the cake crumbs—too much makes them mushy.
