Ingredients
  

  • Baked cake any flavor, crumbled
  • Frosting store-bought or homemade
  • Candy melts or chocolate chips for coating
  • Sprinkles for decoration
  • Cake pop sticks

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, mix crumbled cake and frosting until a dough-like consistency forms.
  2. Roll mixture into small balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Insert a cake pop stick into each ball.
  4. Freeze for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt candy melts or chocolate according to package instructions.
  6. Dip each cake pop into the melted coating and decorate with sprinkles.
  7. Allow to set by standing cake pops upright in a foam block or cake pop stand.

Notes

  • Use just enough frosting to bind the cake crumbs—too much makes them mushy.
  • Get creative with colors and toppings for themed celebrations.
