- In a small saucepan, add halved fresh cherries with 2 tablespoons of water. Cook them gently over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cherries soften and release their juices.
- While the cherries are simmering, in a separate pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Pour the hot water over your Earl Grey tea and steep for 3-5 minutes.
- After the cherries are cooked, lower the heat and add your choice of milk to the saucepan. Warm the mixture gently, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla syrup to add sweetness.
- Pour the brewed Earl Grey tea into a mug and strain the cherry-milk mixture over the tea.
