Cheesy Meatball Casserole is a family favorite dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs
  • 12 ounces uncooked pasta penne or ziti
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Add uncooked pasta, meatballs, marinara sauce, and water into the dish and stir to combine.
  3. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  4. Uncover, stir, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and pasta is tender.

Notes

  • Use homemade or store-bought meatballs based on your preference.
  • Add a handful of spinach or basil before the final bake for a fresh twist.
