  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Fresh oregano is a good alternative.
  • 1.5 cups Cheddar Cheese Alternatives like mozzarella work well.
  • 1 cup Beef Broth Vegetable broth makes a great substitute.
  • optional Fresh Parsley For garnish.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in one chopped onion and 2-3 minced garlic cloves, cooking for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add 4 cups of diced potatoes, 1 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, stirring well.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Once potatoes are tender, sprinkle 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover for 2-3 minutes to melt.
  7. Garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley and serve.
