  • 1 tbsp Sugar for caramelization
  • 1 cup Broth beef or chicken, vegetable for vegetarian
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Gruyère Cheese or Swiss, Fontina as substitutes

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture by combining ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into 1 inch meatballs.

  3. Caramelize the Onions in the same skillet over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes.
