Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating your wok over high heat for about 2-3 minutes until it's smoking hot.
  2. Add the cleaned squid rings to the hot wok and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until opaque and slightly curled.
  3. Toss in the sliced cabbage, stirring well for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted but crunchy.
  4. Mix together the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce over the squid and cabbage mixture in the wok, and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until well coated.
  6. Taste the stir-fry, adjust seasoning if necessary, and garnish with cilantro or lime juice before serving.
