Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and pinch the seams together to create a rectangle.
  3. Spread the broccoli and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams to seal.
  5. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
