  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar and lemon zest until fragrant. Then add flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until combined. Cut in the butter and egg until it resembles coarse meal.
  3. Press half of the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix lemon juice, additional sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Gently fold in fresh blueberries and spread this mixture evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the blueberry filling.
