Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, thyme, and smoked paprika. Mix until just combined.
On a clean surface, shape the meat mixture into a loaf about 10 inches long and 5 inches wide.
Lay the bacon slices over the top of the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath the loaf.
Place the meatloaf in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup and brown sugar. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of the bacon-wrapped meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
