Description

Smoky Bacon Smash Burgers with Garlic Aioli are a delicious and indulgent meal featuring juicy beef patties, crispy bacon, and a creamy garlic aioli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped bacon, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into loose balls.
  2. Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the beef balls on the skillet and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the edges are crispy.
  3. Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the garlic aioli. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the skillet until golden brown. Assemble the burgers by spreading garlic aioli on the bottom bun, adding the lettuce, tomato, and the cheesy bacon smash burger. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce to the burgers.
  • Swap the American cheese for cheddar or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
